With that you're-on-camera smile like she wants to try me on
Shortly after we had headed off to collect fish and chips for dinner with my mother,
spatch's delivery of "Frying tonight!" led into my description of Kenneth Williams as the "total package." We had earlier in the day been discussing the cultural relativity of communicating in quotations. At one point in order to indicate that it was time to leave the house, I called, "To the lighthouse!"
(Fresh Pond Seafood gave us extra of everything and I had a lovely interaction with a young trans woman wearing all the jewelry she had been able to find in her newly moved house. The treasury looked spectacular on her, especially the rhyme of the silver heart bangle on her wrist with her heart-framed, literally rose-tinted glasses.)
WERS has introduced me to Muna's "Silk Chiffon (feat. Phoebe Bridgers)" (2021), which I assume is on rotation either because it's Pride or because it's a banger. I am as incapable of selecting one favorite fictional lesbian as any other single shot, but the first contenders look like the ironclad classics of Florian del Guiz in Mary Gentle's Ash: A Secret History (2000), Manke and Rifkele in Sholem Asch's גאָט פֿון נעקאָמע/God of Vengeance (1907), and Corky and Violet in the Wachowskis' Bound (1996).

Your list of favorite fictional lesbians is solid. *nods*
We had earlier in the day been discussing the cultural relativity of communicating in quotations. You can do an entire marriage like that if you play your cards right.

I would say definitely all right.
Your list of favorite fictional lesbians is solid.
I think Florian was my original disaster lesbian.
You can do an entire marriage like that if you play your cards right.
It's a viable mode of communication!

(It turns out when we make it to our forties the whole dialogue shorts out to “aaagh.”)

Time has revealed it as a magnificent written-directed-starring female triple threat, which is pretty cool.

Speaking of gay bangers, I just heard Sarah Barrios' "Thank God You Introduced Me to Your Sister" (2021).

You really can make playlists of them at this point and it makes me so happy.

I love this.
Yay Corky and Violet!

She looked stellar. She had the glasses up in her hair like a coronet.
Yay Corky and Violet!
(Another film I loved so much I have never been able to write about it argh.)

Well, that's certainly a good choice! (I'm sure the others are, too! <3)
I feel like I'm overlooking earlier ones, but Alice Jones or Tilly from OUaT's S7 is the main one of mine that comes to my mind right now, although tbf, she is a good one.

I would love to hear about her.
