We're the talk of the town

Apparently if permitted to sleep for nine hours, my brain presents me with a cheerfully escapist dream of meeting Dirk Bogarde at a film festival and then spending the rest of the afternoon perusing his library and forgoing dinner in favor of sailing, which was probably more my idea of a good time than his, but I like to think if I hadn't woken when I did, he'd have introduced me to Anthony Forwood.

Your dreams are always amazing (and not just because they would be perfect for smorfia!) <3

DuckDuckGo delivered!

I couldn't resist this one because of the cat! <3 The article it's from says: "his favourite authors being Graham Greene, Mary Webb, and Evelyn Waugh".

I can't make out that many... Sarte, Marcia Davenport, Nevil Shute, at least one cookbook, Gore Vidal, and Angus Wilson, which delights me!

(That's about the density of books in the dream, too. I am entertained that I was looking through that edition of Gourmet cookbook a couple of nights ago in real life.)

I love that coincidence! <3 (I almost forgot to tell you about this: when I was 13 or so, and just getting into classic movies, I dreamt that William Holden came to my birthday party in his motorcycle. My grandma played me the corresponding lotto numbers, but sadly we didn't win!)

I think so too! It's one of the few dreams I've had that I remember, even after all these years! :D (On a somewhat related note: the day pope Francis died, the number 88 (which stands for the pope in the dream interpretation table and was also his age) came up in two lotteries. Believe it or not! My co-worker grimly said to me "C, we should have bet on 88". XD XD XD

Thank you for telling me, I love that one! Her voice and lyrics plus Joe Jackson on piano, it's great! <3

Edit: I thought you'd like to see this one too! <3
