It does not matter how burnt out I am at the end of what kind of week, if I intend to have a short conversation and my godchild wants to have a longer one, we have a longer conversation. Tonight he wanted to tell me about his classes and how he wrecked himself on the PACER test and show off his sleep pod which thanks to his lankiness and its compression makes him look sort of annelid when walking around inside it. He perches forward on the edge of the couch like a cat. He's terrific.

Following the demise of both of my long-time music blogs, I found a new one tonight and I have it to thank for Tristwch y Fenywod, who describe themselves as a "Welsh-language gothic avant-rock power-coven" and are not so incidentally trans/queer. They have a dual zither and a song about triple-killing. I bought their debut album on the spot. Anyone in the locality, I bet their live shows are bangers.

HE'S A MATRICIDALLY RECKLESS SKINNY-ASS LUNATIC WHO LOVES KNIFE SHOES, JUMPING OFF THINGS, AND GETTING C's IN EVERY SUBJECT BECAUSE ACTUALLY HE IS BORED. HE LOOKS LIKE THE NATURAL CHILD OF A MR. SKETCH MARKER AND A TAFFY PULLER. HIS FAVORITE THING IS INSISTING HE'LL BE FINE.
