On account of spatch having to work on his actual birthday, we used the available hours of the afternoon to celebrate the occasion with waffles. I gave him a card with gannets and the DVDs of Detectorists (2014–2022) which I had been hiding in time-honored fashion in the chest of drawers. He carries fifty years of time now. I think it's pretty neat.

Candy, brainteaser, whatever. Now I'm torn on inflicting peach parfait or ume on you next. Ume Kit Kat seems like it might be painful, but sakura Kit Kats just taste like senior citizen. I'm not doing melon-and-mascarpone to any of us.

I like ume and even umeboshi on their own time. Chagrined to hear it about the sakura flavor, although some of it might be the conversion to Kit Kat. Melon-and-mascarpone I agree I'm not sure how it would translate at all.
