Between the water and the factories that have become houses

That my godchild turned fifteen today is not proof of linear time, but I rejoice in it. He is a long-limbed treasure with zero chill. I have been shown evidence of him celebrating a successful escape room with milkshakes and cookies and friends.

[personal profile] spatch's foot was not broken by the speaker which fell onto it yesterday, just bone-crunched and blood-bruised in the ways for which elevation and painkillers are recommended. It does show evidence of an old healed injury that delightfully caused his X-ray results to come up "Abnormal." Paging Marty Feldman.

I have secured what looks like a romantic espionage thriller from 1949 that I had no idea existed until last night when I heard a mid-century radio speedrun of it and my plan for the rest of the evening is to read it and not move. The winter storm is still currently raining.

Ooh, good, you got it! Enjoy! Perfect weather for a postwar thriller.

He tried something new at hot pot, but tteokbokki took him down texturally and the rest of the meal was ramen only!!, and his --friends gave me a run for my money on sheer numbers of little velveted shrimp. Apparently E. has six cats (Gardnerians!) and A. has taken to referring to you as Aunt S in the wild.

DEAR UNIVERSE, IT WOULD SEEM CHILL IS NOT A HERITABLE TRAIT.
