I blame the general aura of noir prompts scattered throughout threesentenceficathon by theseatheseatheopensea. For actual three-sentence fics, "Fall from the Sky" and "Floriography" have been transferred to AO3. The former appears to be the first fic in the archive for Repeat Performance (1947).

I have been given a wall calendar featuring the art of Wayne Thiebaud. I hope he would understand that describing him as the Edward Hopper of random American objects is intended as a delighted compliment.

In the comment I left on AO3 I said I didn't know the source material, but now I find that in fact I commented on your review of I Walk Alone--so I did have at least that amount of passing knowledge of it. But I didn't remember when I was reading your fic. Really great.
