I think it is actually unreasonable that I was waiting at the pharmacy and lab for the duration of the entire first act of the Met Opera broadcast of Les contes d'Hoffmann, but I was cheered by the sign which greeted me when I went for groceries afterward.

spatch and I fell into Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (2024–) and while of course I am charmed by Jude Law as a morally ambiguous Force-user with an obviously compelling backstory, I am really enjoying Ryan Kiera Armstrong as the twelve-year-old slightly disaster captain we keep thinking of as "miniature Claudia Christian."

We're just hoping it sticks the landing!
(We have no reason to think it won't, it's been very well-constructed so far, in the old-fashioned style of a self-contained plot per episode as well as the accumulating narrative of the series, I just like it so much that I worry! It has practical effects and worldbuilding for fun.)
