The nights fall like thorns off the roses
The honeycakes are baking. I have watered all the flowers for my mother including the braided hibiscus which my father got her this spring without realizing that at our latitude it would have to come inside for the winter.
moon_custafer sent me a photoset for The Cruel Sea (1953) in which Denholm Elliott thanks to an excellently accidental camera angle seems to be guest-starring from an afterlife fantasy. Today has been grey and odd, but yesterday there was brilliant autumn through maple leaves.

Will your parents indeed bring the hibiscus in for the winter?

It looked like underwave in the wind.
Will your parents indeed bring the hibiscus in for the winter?
It's already inside! They were taking no chances after last week's cold snaps.
