You think I'm going to holler when you say you won't be mine?
For Bisexual Visibility Day, I am making up for a stultifying installment of capitalism by rewatching Desert Fury (1947). Not even the location shots in that film look factual: the reconstruction of a dream.
Yesterday for the equinox, I finished my second film review this month, a fairly big deal since it has been literally a season since I have been able to think or write that much, and got outside for a walk in the newly autumn sunshine.
Summer had blown instantly off the sky.
I associate this color with beach roses, even when they are growing in our driveway.
The construction has not ceased entirely, but recent movements suggest it may be preparing for hibernation.
It is the season of finding single leaves on the sidewalk.
The fallen hibiscus looked as though they could eclose as moths.
The unfallen hibiscus were quite lovely as well.
The bees are still in the beautiful Halloween-colored flowers whose names I don't know!
Everything around this time of year begins to turn memento mori.
I took this photo for autumn, but as far as I know I'm still visible today.

Although the single leaf one did make me try and turn it into a dead mouse and have auto-panic, even though - touches all the wood I can find - next door's cats have spared me for nearly a whole year now. (I think they wander further afield these days, or they just eat the whole rodent now or something, idk.)

Rose of sharon is a kind of hibiscus! Or at least it is in North America: in the UK it appears to be a completely different flower. I know realistically the answer would be some florally damp smoke, but I like to think you would get something special if you smoked a hibiscus.
