The stars will no longer fall

I can tell it's still the Fourth of July because the end of our street is emitting small ordnance booms. After a slow start due to construction we did not expect due to the holiday, rushthatspeaks and spatch and I spent the afternoon and evening with my parents where we ate all the summer foods and toasted marshmallows over the fire pit and lit sparklers, of which Rob got some photographic evidence. We did not see any fireworks, but passed a small carnival while on a post-prandial grocery run. I hadn't had corn on the cob in so many years, I forgot to make typewriter noises while eating it.
