I assume it goes without saying that I will not be at Arisia this week on account of everything, but tonight at dinner when we were eating our steak pot pie Autolycus who had been very quiet all evening suddenly seized in his jaws a chunk of potato half the size of his head and bore it triumphantly away like a saber-toothed cat with a mastodon from the tar pit and we did not let him eat the potato, but it was a beautiful thing to see. (We did let him eat some of the steak.) I seem after decades to be hitting my physical limit of consecutive all-nighters. I would honestly like some of this month back already.

The retriever in the icon was an expert and speedy food snitcher, especially if the food in question landed on the floor. Dropped oyster crackers come to mind.
