Brief as summer or spring

We lit the yahrzeit candle for my grandfather. Nothing about this year, like that year, feels like a holiday. Autolycus still clings to my shoulder.

My offer of hugs is a continuing one, if those are so desired. The anniversary of my own maternal grandfather's loss is not far away at all.

My offer of cuddles to the fabulous shoulderkitty is also ongoing. Did I read correctly at some point that he's an eight-toed polydactyl sprite of a gentlebeing? Those are some impressive paws, Autolycus.
