We all got lost in the uncanny valley

En route this afternoon to a family occasion in Maine, [personal profile] spatch and [personal profile] rushthatspeaks and I took half an hour to find some sea and ended up at the Nubble Light. I love Edward Hopper's New England paintings, I just didn't realize they were naturally occurring.

And this sky, so dark, with the light bright underneath it--we enjoyed it too. You've got the Nubble Light bright against it; for us it was Jersey cows, like quiet gods high on a hill.
