We all got lost in the uncanny valley

En route this afternoon to a family occasion in Maine, [personal profile] spatch and [personal profile] rushthatspeaks and I took half an hour to find some sea and ended up at the Nubble Light. I love Edward Hopper's New England paintings, I just didn't realize they were naturally occurring.

Oh, wow!

There were gulls and cormorants and the kelp-smell of ebbing tide. And other people, watching the light.
