Try your luck 'cause you never take advice
In order for the City of Somerville to collect and dispose of our garbage bin which had become, courtesy of the rats, too damaged for further use, we had to decorate it with a red sticker denoting its unsalvageable status. I hadn't realized it was technologically advanced enough for a corpse marker.
Despite extensive data retrieval, I did lose some links and extraneous notes with the demise of Bertie Owen, but I had meant to share the 1944 U.S. Navy Health Record for George the Cat: "Worries hell out of everyone."

selkie: I am indifferent to the apron, but I love the sentiment.
I had wanted to do so much with this month that simply isn't happening.

We've been going around saying things to our cats like "Swell" and "You should see them!"

Not at all worrying!
I am sorry about yet another month to line up in the march of unsatisfactory and worse months. Here's to the remainder, and to November, in eternal hope or something? ♥

"I pulled George out of the bay at Noumea." --New Caledonia! Not a place that gets referenced much. I have a friend who lives there.
ETA: not a cat.

Thank you. I'm reminding myself it's all part of the convalescence shtick, I just find the convalescence shtick very boring.

Now I have Gordon Bok's "Clear Away in the Morning" stuck in my head, only with garbage bins.

I am also fond of his Twichy Tail.

Feh! Ours had been multiply gnawed to the point where the rats didn't even need to pull the trash out through the holes, it just sort of colandered itself, but it still took calling the city directly to get it replaced. Please do not touch the rat bin. You don't need to be called by the Board of Health.

Totally not the end of civilisation as we know it if we work out the trash cans and wheelie bins are coming for us!*
I just find the convalescence shtick very boring.
It is the most boring!! ♥
And, btw, the cat record is v funny; thanks for the link.
*Come to think of it, that already happened in DW, lol. Mickey got eaten by one! Maybe that's why they have to be more careful that they're dead these days?
