On the one hand, I am tired to the point where I want a refund on the entire concept of sleep and trying to write about a movie with a head full of tapioca—both mine and the movie's, really. On the other hand, spatch just presented me with the Kino Lorber Blu-Ray of the legendarily queer Technicolor noir Desert Fury (1947), which I have wanted to see for pre-pandemic ages, and I am enjoying the local hibiscus.

I just gave my niece the complete collected Flower Fairies, since she was always reading my childhood Flower Fairies of the Seasons. It seems to be going over well, even when she doesn't recognize the plants.

Aww! And, I mean, she'll be very up on plant identification if she ever gets to the UK.
