Being kind is not the same as being small

Happy Juneteenth! I seem to be celebrating with a visit to the dentist. Have a melting-eyed Autolycus.

The state of my sleep remains surreally bad, but yesterday [personal profile] spatch and I ran an errand in Cambridge and ate the sandwiches we retrieved from Mamaleh's beside the Mystic River, watching red-winged blackbirds and a little blue heron and the flashing ripples of fish in the sunset-struck water. It was nice.

Thank you for both the blessing of Autolycus and the blessing of the birds and fish in and around the sunset waters. I'm glad that in the midst of medical tortures, you do have these moments.

I'm sorry--"surreally bad" seems to be the most accurate way to describe this week so far, and I relate and sympathise. Thank you for sharing the image of birds and water, and also that beautiful sleepy kitty. It really helps.

Awwwww, kitty. :) Autolycus makes all the humans melt, so. XD

Awwww, has he? I'm picturing fabulous, intelligent and empathetic amber greens, here.

Also, *hugs offered to the human* because I did not mean to ignore the week's trials in favor of cats on the Internet, and yet, that's what I did. Apologies.
