Wipes my slate clean

Tonight in accidental social engineering: "My husband works at the Somerville," I explained to the young man behind the concessions counter of the Capitol Theatre, "but they just have the hard ice cream from Richardson's, so I didn't realize you offered soft serve until I saw your sign from the street," and with an evidently gratified sense of intramural competition he gave me about a vertical foot of chocolate-and-vanilla twist when all I had ordered was a small. (It was for my mother, which made it even better. She had run me out to return my unrenewable interlibrary loan because my knee is still not suitable for driving. I aten't dead, but I am very, very tired.)

Aww, extra soft serve is delightful (and easier to eat than a similarly piled-high column of hard ice cream, though a bowl is nice either way, IME).

Some day, I hope to enjoy such things again.

Until then, go YOU.

Long live the virtical foot of soft-serve; your mother is heroic for tackling it.

Practically unbelievable. I wish I could retroactively demand that you videotape the process, but alas, I cannot... and it would be a bit unfair to your mother.

Aww.

Our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Baton Rouge used to have a great soft serve + toppings (I especially liked the sliced mangoes!) before they closed it down in 2020. Yay for extra soft serve!
