For my birthday with an assist from Whumptober, thisbluespirit wrote me elegantly toxic, time-sliding casefic for Sapphire & Steel: "Lavender's Green." It features two original and one inimitable element who can be seen played by their proper actors in this fortuitous gif from Breakaway (1980) and is obviously soundtracked by the eponymous nursery rhyme, but pleasantly reminded me as well of one of my recurring autumnal songs which people would even have been listening to in 1983. I read it in fall sunshine and closed the sliding glass doors to the sun porch very carefully.
