When I think of you, a movie reel of moments plays
Rabbit, rabbit! The major achievement of the month so far has been recovering from an all-night allergic reaction and completing the review I was working on when it hit, but under the circumstances including a near-block on watching media for weeks, I am not unsatisfied. We have at least three monarch caterpillars confirmed on their milkweed leaves carefully brought inside. I made vichyssoise—a few nights ago it was snickerdoodles. I shared the evergreen Tolkien party invitation with my mother and I think "Wheelbarrows at 5 a.m." has just entered the household lexicon.

"R.S.V.P. if not coming."
But the whole thing is a glimpse of another world, in which your parents host your 21st birthday party ...
Maybe if more parents hosted that level of party . . .

It was still July when that happened!

(I do think of the book yelling as real work, just so you know. It produces real results.)

It is real work and not just anyone can do it and if I liked you less I would praise you with a confetti cannon but then there would just be confetti.

And we'd be in a Ken Russell film.
(Thank you.)

I do not know if we will exceed last year's record, but so long as they all metamorphose healthily, we'll be all right!
(Boo allergic reaction!)
(It was awful and weird and I hated it.)
