It turns out that what's wrong with one of my eyes since last night is an infection consequent to a corneal abrasion, for which I have been prescribed an ointment I hate at intervals that annoy me.

Ugh, had one of those (well, the corneal abrasion part) when I was twelve, and it sucked. I hope your eye recovers quickly!
