I have with some slight difficulty borrowed a wireless hotspot in order to send up the flare that I aten't dead, but the house internet has been for about the last sixteen hours and will continue to be so until, with any luck, tomorrow afternoon. I have been reading books, attending to my cats, not sleeping, and eating a lot of khao tom mad from Love at First Bite which sometime toward the end of last month became a comfort food. I will be back when I can.

Oh gosh, that menu! I read the whole thing.

The khao soi salmon and the khao tom mad are my favorites. The latter is made with coconut cream, black beans, and a kind of hearty pink plantain which I almost mistook for meat the first time I had it. The night after we finished the move, I ate two orders and fell over.

Things are so weird, I figured I should tell people I was not actually dropping off the earth.
