Trying to walk on the balls of my feet

And then later in the evening my body apparently ran out of electrolytes and spent the next seven or eight hours in a nearly full-body cramp, which was much less fun than just about anything I had planned or imagined spending the rest of the night doing. We think I may have accidentally flushed all the salts out of my body. Today I am mostly prone and drinking Pedialyte. I have books and movies, but could use interesting links and also suggestions for electrolyte replacement that don't taste like Mixed Fruit. (No, we have no bananas, we have no bananas or I would have eaten them last night.)

That lineup sounds delicious, and the cumulative oil alone would outdo my ability to digest :)

Yikes! I hope your salt levels are rising.

Here, have some sea-creatures.

The plague brought POTS to many people. If you are fainting with postural change on the regular, I cannot stress enough that you should go to the logistical and financial hassle of seeing a cardiologist. S will back me up!

I just sent them some. Skratch is amazingly less like consuming sweet snot, but you have to buy the dumb little packets if you live anywhere near as humid as we do, because the big bag clumps into an expensive brick.

I don't have that specific problem (which sounds painful, my entire sympathies), I just sweat forever and then crave lemony sugar.

Fucking humidity can die in a fire, except it won't because it's too damp to do that.

Um. Anyway! Thank you for sending Sovay some.

Yes, fortunately, but at what cost!

I am very glad indeed that you've uncramped, but sorry that you've had to drink gallons of sugar water. It must taste like that vengeful cup of tea that Cecily gave Gwendolen.

Rackham draws rusalky?

They've swum over to Scotland. This is Rackham's illustration for "Clerk Colvill" (Child 42).

An when he cam to the Clyde’s water
He lichted lowly down,
An there he saw the mermaiden,
Washin silk upon a stane.

What is it about Clyde's water? It's a jumble of bones on that riverbed.

Bodies. Our only defense from our bodies is to band together against them. Or something?

Apricots are pretty high on the list, and easier to keep around in dried form than avocado or kiwi or cantaloupe. Though dried banana chips exist, too, come to think of it.

Owww, cramps are their own particular horror. My own accomplishments are less terrifying but involve, I think, the periformis muscle, which is very hard to stretch out; also some muscle on the front of the shin. I would prefer a simple Charley Horse, thanks.

In my case V8 juice and something with magnesium in (almonds, often) will usually help, but so many missing things can cause cramping that it's hard to know what to stock up on.
