Going down in mysterious ways
Our oven failed to light twice tonight, so I decided discretion was the better part of not being blown out a window and made a kind of peanut butter oatmeal no-bake cookie from a family recipe of
spatch's. Basically, you start with penuche and then add protein. They came out deliciously. I am mostly existing at the moment, but my godchild called this evening to tell me about their day and the present they are painting for one of their grandparents and a couple of parcels arrived in the mail. I am cooking with a lot of tinned fish and regret nothing. I wish bell hooks were not dead.

It is selfish but I just personally did not need that news about bell hooks at nearly the end of a terrible year. And she was only 69!

It's our new stove, too: it was installed in the spring of 2019 and I can guarantee we have done nothing extraordinary on it since but cook for two people and cats. The burners are still working, but I haven't tried to use the oven since. If it does not light uncomplicatedly when I do, I am going to have to deal with the property manager about it, and I am really not looking forward to that.

No one needed this news! She was not an appropriate age.
*hugs*
