Occupiers wiggle into societies, pushing features apart, changing their shape, then claim that the new shape requires their presence, then yank themselves out and the subsequent voids and imbalances crash down into chaos and worse. I knew this from studying history but it is horriffic to watch in real time, and deeply shameful to be part of it.
