We had our two not-living-in-Japan children over for a meal, plus the significant other of one of them. It was great to be able to be in the same room together without the shadow of the fear of death hanging over us. (And wow, that's (a) and understatement and (b) a sentence that two years ago I could not have conceived of typing.)
