I have just learned of Amazon's purchase of MGM. Considering what happened to the availability of titles by Twentieth Century Fox when Disney bought them two years ago, I am not thrilled—on top of the usual unthrillment that comes with a monopoly monopolizing a little more. I didn't hate MGM that much for never figuring out what to do with Van Heflin.

No business is too big to fail and some of them are big enough to be broken up. We already owe our souls to too many company stores.
