Unnumbered women dead go crying through our singing

It took me a couple of weeks to find out on account of differing social media, but reblogging my ghost poem for Lucan seems to have become a yahrzeit tradition in certain quarters of Tumblr and I find that wonderful and unexpected in itself, but discovering that a phrase of mine has become somebody's touchstone is almost inexpressible. I hope his ghost did get into the acknowledgements of their dissertation. Their dissertation sounds like something I really want to read.

It's nice when someone enjoys one's turn of phrase enough to use it.

I came up with 'English is ethnic too' in reference to folk music and traditions and it escaped even fetching up in someone's doctoral thesis in German duly credited! :o)

How fabulous is this? How wonderful that you have provided the token for others' remembrances--that lines from your poem are tags! I think this goes up with naming a Kuiper belt object as a memorable accomplishment.

Oh gosh, this is curious. This sort of being indelible in at least a small corner of the literary world, it just never happens. We shall all spend the next ten years practicing our surprised faces for when that Norton American Poetry comes out.
