I see arsonists with business rates etched on the back of empty matchboxes

Being so tired that I passed out on the couch even knowing that dinner was happening in fifteen minutes, I offer two pictures of the day. Spoiler: contains cat.

Part of the former H.P. Hood Plant.

Kitten at home.

You can begin sending your ghost-notes into the dark of The Deadlands—now that we've passed $20K in funding, we have opened to fiction submissions—but please keep sending those eye-stones and carnelian rings as well. For nonfiction, we'll need to reach $23K, and for poetry, we'll need to be fully funded. All the dead want is a little life, and don't we all? Every last offering counts.

I love the photo of you and your cat. I always think of him as one of the "little black cats," but he is quite a decent size. He is rocking the shaven leg, I have to say.

He is lanky, but can curl up remarkably compact. Oh yes, Saffron can also do that. When we went to adopt her from Petco, and meet her for the first time, she was asleep in her carrier and looked quite a small cat. When her foster mothers brought her over later that day and opened up the carrier, she emerged and emerged and emerged. She isn't gigantic but she is very long. She must be able to retract her legs and fold her spine up for storage, is all I can think.

I am glad Autolycus is compacting in your lap.
