If you're not, you know, they probably won't mind, but it's more like being alive

[personal profile] spatch said I should record my reaction to this watermelon-lime-flavored alkaline water: "It tastes like something awful happened to a martini on the way to the forum." Before I crash at the end of this day, have some links.

1. March 26th has been declared Leonard Nimoy Day in Boston. I wish we could walk to the West End.

2. On preserving the maritime vernacular of the west coast of Ireland: "To Speak of the Sea in Irish." Hounds of the storm. White flowers on the fisherman's garden. The question for the ghost.

3. A poem I missed until now: Jackson Jesse Nash, "Call Me Boy on Saturdays."

Sad is a good description! Like you I'm perfectly happy with cucumbers as slices, or chopped up in a salad like the one I had earlier, but the cucumber water was a waste of a good cucumber. I'd bought the bottle to drink on a train journey and wasn't happy - though fortunately it was just the 40 min leg from London to home, not the all day trip down from my folks.
