After little deliberation but many shenanigans, NecronomiCon Providence is rescheduling from this summer to the next. There are plans in the works for some virtual events this August, but mostly there are plans not to make Pestilence the lifetime guest of honor. I'm for it.
I can tell I am still in recovery from the shot because I slept another stunned eleven hours and managed to work exactly two hours before my brain went flat as seltzer, but my arm hardly hurts at all. I had complicated dreams about a theater owned for just about a century by the same Russian mob family and I can't tell you how much I resent not remembering the majority of the plot while retaining a hitman's nickname based on a stupid pun.
I have no idea what Allan Arkush's Rock 'n' Roll High School (1979) is doing on the Criterion Channel, but I am committed to watching it before it disappears.

I started Brother from Another Planet! Enjoying it so far--it's very beautiful to *look* at, in addition to everything else.
