Where there is a light, you must keep it lit, where there is no light, you must call on it
Today being a palindrome and
spatch's birthday, we celebrated by ordering a great quantity of chicken with trimmings and key lime pie from Highland Fried and watching The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) on TCM. That movie still has one of the best-suited scores for its story that I know. Matthau's line about mishegos sees a fair amount of play in our household, especially with reference to little cats who want to stick their noses into chile honey and chicken gravy. I am starting to believe that we might be in a new year after all, but it is still the kind of year where we weren't at a Burns Supper, singing. We listened to a lot of New York City swearing instead.

I've seen him in very little if I think about it, which I hadn't until this comment. I hadn't realized he died so young!
