While I accept that it is my fate to be reduced to “*squeaky noise*” in this circumstance, I must also point out you could’ve just stood there in those excellent clothes and instead you went for it down to the mantel-propping and I have actually died.
Thank you! My relationship with my self-image is complicated (whose isn't: much of it i my case is my body and chronic illness) and I am doing my best to get it to take a hint.
Hee. It's from a Tweet I adore. I don't find "Fire Up the Harpsichord, Bartholomew" a less plausible name for a tune than "Smash the Windows," "Haste to the Wedding, or "Cuckolds All Awry."
The shirt! The waistcoat! The pose! Can I have a t-shirt with FIRE UP THE HARPSICHORD, BARTHOLOMEW? I promise it'll be printed in the fanciest of scripts!

Also every time you post a photo (Regency dandy, cord-clad boffin, swirling coat detective) I just want to write fanfiction for your Doctor. *deep blush*
Is your waistcoat grey or green, or somewhere between the two? I can't tell with this screen.
It's sort of pewter-colored; there's actually a sheen on the material that is not really visible in this photo. I plan to get better ones by sunlight sometime.
Ahh! I couldn't even see that pattern properly until I saw the picture on my computer, and it looks like a dark sagey-green here. This screen needs a wipedown.

If the background were a bit less less obviously twenty-first-century living room, I'd say you could share it as a teaser!
(You work with the mantelpiece you have, not with the tumbledown manor house you wish you had . . .)

...don't lean on the mantel maybe though.
