The Best of Not One of Us, which includes my story "Another Coming" among its many excellent pieces of alienation, has been favorably reviewed at Tangent Online:

Overall, the collection frightens, jars, amazes, and soothes the soul. Each story places its patch on a quilt of anguish and regret. As a sampler, the anthology provides ample reasons to subscribe to Not One of Us to further satiate the appetite of dark fantasy lovers.

And why not take the reviewer's advice? Writers, you can't trust; everybody knows that, but reviewers . . .

The finished script is twenty three pages. I've already done one page, but I wouldn't expect to see the finished thing for at least a month.

Oh, we know you can't trust writers.

We also know, however, that as long as you keep them reasonably well-fed and let them off the chains once in a while, you can at least build a sort of wary mutual respect that comes from them no longer attempting to bite your arm off when you go for the food bowl.

(Unless it's just better to put them down out of hand. And, sometimes, that's sadly necessary...)
