I failed to sleep at all, which is bad for many reasons, but at least I got a decent picture off our back deck. I like the combination of dawn and the streetlights not yet out. I have no idea what kind of bird is in the neighbors' tree.
Insomnia can Do One. I love the picture. I squinted at the bird and then realised I was looking at a crumb on my screen. (Note to self: Clean Eustace.)

Thank you. Yikes. Sleep!
(I like how the bird looks as though it's perching on the roof of the brick apartments, unless you realize that at that distance it would have to be like ten feet tall.)
You get some lovely light just at dawn. I just wish I wasn't awake to see it so often!
Many sympathies! I like it myself when I have stayed up round the clock for a good reason like a twenty-four-hour movie marathon (not happening this February, natch) and otherwise I prefer to sleep through.

I did get some sleep after taking the photo, but that was also sub-optimal. I feel scrambled.

It's still fire season where you are?

Thank you, and, yes, 2020!

Gah. Stay safe. For all the reasons.

But it's a nice picture. Bird's well situated.

I have had enough failure to sleep in my life that it's boring! It would be exciting if I could regularly sleep!
But it's a nice picture. Bird's well situated.
Thank you!
