It would have been best to be able to hold our annual Halloween party, which had to cease operations for the first time since 1968, but it was really nice. The socially distanced trick-or-treating (participating houses put out candy on tables or blankets in their yards, six feet or more from the door: kids with pandemic masks on as well as the normal kind came by and picked it up: it was permissible to open the front door with a mask on and call, "Happy Halloween!" as they left) actually looked like it worked, too.
