In fact, the Zoom conversation with my godchild was the best part of today. They told me about Julie and the Phantoms (2020) and we talked a little about Steven Universe (2013–19) and Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005–08) and also about some things that aren't TV shows, like remote learning and names. At one point I had occasion to remark to selkie, "That was like being go-go danced at by a preadolescent demon." They are a good kid and I like them. They told me I didn't really need to smile for the screenshot and then they cracked up.

You are doing a lot of things right, because it is luck that you got such a nice child, but you are doing a wonderful job of raising them into a nice person.
