The thyme **is** indestructible (God willing)<--averting evil. It is currently the main component of our front lawn and as such, a source of enduring summer joy to me.
I have some rhubarb, but it exists just barely clinging to survival from year to year. I'm envious of the functionally-a-weed status of rhubarb in your natal home.
Regarding notes, I think mainly I'm more fond of green beans than you are, and also I don't make mac and cheese from scratch that often (though it sure does taste good!)
