Would people who wear suspenders mind recommending me some of their favorites? My father thought there was a hand-me-down pair in the house, but my mother's investigation into various drawers and closets has conclusively disproved this theory.

In other news, Raye Zaragoza's "The It Girl" has been stuck in my head for about a week.

Andrew wears a pair of rainbow clip-on suspenders we got from Spencers (sort of a local Hot Topic/Party City-type retailer). I don’t think they carry them anymore, but googling shows similar-looking pairs for sale on a number of sites. I think the rainbow design requires the elastic to be wide enough that it’s more comfortable than some of the plain suspenders, which use a narrower elastic.

That said, the kinds with loops are classier, though you’d have to sew buttons to the waistband(s) of your trousers.

Thanks. I can noodle around on the internet and find retailers; I was just hoping for recommendations for particular brands etc. since I don't know who makes good suspenders. It's sort of the one hundred percent cotton jeans problem combined with total unfamiliarity with shopping in this arena of clothing.

Those are definitely the kind I like the look of, but I don't think I have any pants that support them.

The plot has really picked up steam in episodes 5 and 6 (one warning— some autopsy photos are shown (middle distance, not close-up) in ep 6. Cast continues to be uniformly excellent.

If wider elastic is desired, there are those suspenders marked like a tape measure. The straps are actually a bit wider than is comfy for me, but YMMV.

ETA: Full disclosure, I work for TV. I know several folks who have those suspenders and haven't managed to break them, which given the folks in question means they're pretty decent quality. ;-)
