A man in a car whose license plate I didn't get just drive-by screamed "White power!" at me and my mother as we were masked-and-distanced talking through the window of her car.

"Who the fuck can tell you're Jewish when you're wearing a mask?" I asked spatch afterward. He didn't think the driver could: he thought it had to do with the Black Lives Matter sign in our building's window.

I have been worrying about white violence this Fourth of July for weeks now. With all the fireworks planned for Mount Rushmore, I'm just hoping the man in the White House blows Jefferson's nose off.

I guess we're going to need to make more signs.

Quite a lot of people in this country seem to like it, but they are not people I want to (even if I could) be.
