Long-hidden shadows of the places they came from
My poem "Drinking from the Incantation Bowl" has been accepted by Vastarien: A Literary Journal. I love these spiraling traps of words and the demons caught in them, but I still don't know what jolted the writing of the poem last October. I said at the time, "Maybe I just feel the king of the demons would be a better problem to deal with than any human we have in power right now." The market is a new one for me and one whose pages I am delighted to join. I am having a lot of difficulty with the world right now, but art is an important thing.

I don't know if the name of the journal has a meaning or significance, but I like the sound of it when I say it to myself.
It's named after a dreamworld in a Thomas Ligotti story of the same name, which I have not read. I agree it's evocative.
And yes, art is a good thing, in heaven, hell, or in between.
I am doing my best to keep making it!
