Following the line of the tide reclining

Please ignore our cluttered floor and appreciate this helpful Autolycus who understood at once that knees were made for supporting curious cats, not people who might have wanted to stand back up any time in the next century.

Today started early with a doctor's phone visit, after which I walked into Davis Square to pick up a couple of prescriptions from the pharmacy, on the theory that if I can get my environmental allergies under control, maybe my respiratory system will stop trying to kill me with or without assistance from the federal government. It was beautifully sunny, which meant that the bike path was suddenly packed. I walked back via Highland, where M.F. Dulock turned out to be open to online and phone orders with curbside pickup, so I called them from their sidewalk and took home Russian sausages for myself and [personal profile] spatch and hot and sweet Italian sausages for my parents, as requested, for some future date when I can see them again.

I still feel weird and twitchy and downbeat, but I have discovered that TCM is showing the gloriously nuts pre-Code Million Dollar Legs (1932) tonight and I am going to watch it. Just thinking about Lyda Roberti's musical number makes me smile.

Love this photo. You say "Highland" and I get sudden memories of the street.

The takeout sounds delicious.

And yes, getting the environmental allergies under control will be a great thing, pandemic or no pandemic.

A: Hold that position, precarious though it is, until I am done doing whatever!

Sounds familiar, even though my knees are unable to replicate that position.

Fabulous photo. Cats, Russian sausages, pre-Code legs: you have yourselves a night.

Aw, well, a handsome cat needs a proper perch, regardless of what the perch thinks. ♥

Glad TCM is at least making an effort for you!

We mostly enjoyed the movie. I don't know enough about the Code to have noticed anything it would have violated.
I am sure I have heard "over-stuffed cooch dancer" in some other context, but can't pull it up.
