I don't dare hope for his removal, but I will work with all for you for a fair and decisive election. Vote the bastards out!
Regarding the Senate, you are correct that I'd trust Mitch McConnell as far as I could throw him only if I could throw him off the Grand Canyon. But I'd rather have an impeachment than a record of total impunity.
And yes, for the love of the planet, everybody vote!
Well said indeed. Only all of us working together can save the US (which involves taking the presidency & the senate, abolishing the filibuster, and ideally both packing the Supreme Court and making DC & Puerto Rico states.
I was genuinely concerned it might not happen. And there's a lot of machinery in place to protect him. (And a lot of people who aren't machinery and who have choices and are making very bad ones.) But it's real.
He was impeachable from day one. If we hadn't flipped the House, we couldn't have gotten even this. Personally, I want the House to take their damn sweet time before handing things off to Moscow Mitch.
Mirabile dictu, the editor-in-chief of the evangelical magazine Christianity Today (founded by Billy Graham)has called for Trump's removal from office, saying that his abuses of power are not only unconstitutional but "profoundly immoral.”
My god. A Christianist with a moral compass. My hat is off to him. It would be glorious if this were the first flake in an avalanche. Not a chance: the editor will probably announce his retirement this week, to spend more time with his family at Christmas.

Whatever happens, it is better that he was impeached than not: he had done more than enough to call it down on himself.

I saw that tonight! I do not know how many minds it will change, but I am glad it was written and I hope the number is not zero.
