But thanks to our bad habits, we may join them soon enough

I have spent my weekend in rehearsals for the mini-opera Creatures of Habit, premiering on Thursday as part of the 29th First Annual Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony.

[personal profile] spatch is as we speak in a rehearsal for Theatre@First's The Revenger's Tragedy, opening on Friday.

Basically, we don't see each other anymore, but if you live in the Boston area, you can see both of us! Actually, even if you don't live in the Boston area, you can still see me because the Ig Nobels run a live webcast whereby the whole megillah goes into the camera lens and just spills out into people's houses. And you can check out the clown makeup test which Rob was thoughtful enough to provide to Twitter. The common theme of both our shows may be yikes, but entertaining. More murders in his, I think.

I wrote like three versions of this sentence before finally just punting Tiny Wittgenstein off my computer. I have not been involved in a show, as differentiated from a reading or a concert or some other mode of performance, for fifteen years. I'm really enjoying it. I might like someone else's stamina, but I don't want anyone else's voice.

Wow. Good luck to you both. Rob's makeup tutorial is mildly terrifying.

(Also, have this trebouchet. It's specifically designed to fling Tiny Wittgensteins into the sea. You will be ace.)
