I'm fairly certain that some FedEx workers slap delivery notices on doors and scurry away without trying to reach the occupants.
. . . We considered that possibility also.
Anyway it sounds like you made the best of it.
I like exploring this city. I just prefer to do it not after dark when the wind chill is in the teens!
