The infrastructure will collapse from voltage spikes

I am heading to bed early, because I am heading to New York even earlier tomorrow morning. Wish me luck with trains, consciousness, and singing.

This afternoon in [personal profile] rydra_wong's comments, [personal profile] kore was attempting to describe the Lovecraftian decor of the Christmas White House: "Other highlights include a scary wreath made out of sharpened pencils that looks like you could take out people's eyes with it and an all-white representation of the White House in gingerbread that looks exactly like it's about to be drenched with blood."

Suddenly all I could hear was Richard Burton:

Of course I thought you had invented it yourself, and certainly you are entirely capable of doing so!

That is really a very fine thing, that song. Especially the bureaucratic snots. I wonder if Madeleine L'Engle ever knew of it.
