Breathless to feel restless like I did in the old days

This has been an unnecessarily medical week. Everything is stable in the sense that I now have inhalers and [personal profile] spatch has antibiotics and will be seeing an actual factual dentist tomorrow at last, but this was still my fourth morning in a row of getting up very early on little to no sleep and only the first time was it for something fun.

I have watched several movies about which I may or may not write anything, including Moby Dick (1956), Conduct Unbecoming (1975), Where Sinners Meet (1934), and The Damned Don't Cry (1950).

[personal profile] gaudior sent me a card for Halloween:

Our black cats approve.

Yay movies! Yay inhaler, but I hope the need passes off quickly.

That is a delightful Halloween card. The 1920's were peak for Halloween design. The 1950's and 1960's graphics and card products were cute, but the style and charm were not equal to the 1920's.

If you go over to Etsy and search "Dennison Halloween," or search the wider web ("Bogie Book" is also a good keyword), you'll find some very pretty illustrations.

...I can't figure out how to put pictures in comments, I'm sorry.

ETA: I put a few up in my journal.
