You flow around all that comes in your way

I heard earlier this evening that John McCain had died, but I am really sorry to read about Lindsay Kemp. I saw him in Sebastiane (1976) and Jubilee (1977) and The Wicker Man (1973). "One of his favourite mottoes was 'Seagulls are the souls of drowned sailors.'" I didn't even know.

In Orkney, they tell the same tale about seals (selkies).

I’m afraid I only knew of Lindsay Kemp because I looked up Jack Birkett after the last time I watched The Bride (1985).

I meant to tell you about Neil Simon, but we were at the pool. *sigh*

I sat and watched Child up and down the deep end while I tried to explicate the plot of The Goodbye Girl . One can't complain about his innings, but still.

And then there's The Odd Couple, which taught us about representation, passing, and code switching in varied degrees.

Child's friend is also 8.5 and can't swim a lick. It was terrifying to referee and also her parents are Jewish. THOU SHALT TEACH YOUR CHILD, AMIRITE?

This is germane because the plot-explicating was how I kept her bobbing her head above the water and treading. My nerves.

I mostly know Lindsay Kemp from Savage Messiah, one of my favorite Ken Russell films.
