Now August was a good time for swimming
I have been interviewed for posterity!
In honor of the book which is now three days from being a real, readable thing, Jeannelle M. Ferreira asked me eight questions on her blog and I answered. Read on to discover my thoughts on favorite stories, self-definitions, obsolete technologies, influences from film, and more:
An Interview with Sonya Taaffe, Author, Editor, Durian-Lover.
This is much better than the part of the day where it was so sticky and hot that I dreamed of being part of an amateur polar expedition, because apparently freezing to death in an AU Terror remix is better than whatever we've got melting clocks to sidewalks outside.

I have to try durian now (I have to try Guinness cheddar too!). I am nostalgic for phone boxes, at least the red K6 models; it's not unusual to see them as "ornaments" in the front gardens of people who have too much money; a lot have been converted into kiosks for ATMs - I don't know if that's peculiar to Birmingham, or common across the country.
Roll on Wednesday, when a cheque clears and I can at last get the book.
Speaking of polar expeditions, I have been playing a lot of Pram lately, and this track from the new album made me think of you:
