I saw the remake in a theater full of hardcore Dark Shadows fans; everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. I remember liking its humor (and being pleased that some of the original cast had cameos), but it didn't stick with me. (I saw it on a double bill with House of Dark Shadows, and when Barnabas is killed off in the film, a guy in the audience let out a very deadpan "Boo!" and we all busted up laughing.)
